Obamamania- A Thing Of The Past

Four-years ago things were different. Obamamania was rampant. People all over the country (mostly the young) were enamored with an inexperienced senator from Chicago. He was charismatic, comical, and played basketball (that's changed as of late). And most importantly, to his benefit, he was black (okay, he's half-black). At that point, the country was ragged by wars, and as a result, there was an increasing distrust of the elitists.

Fast forward four years later, and it is now that same senator who people distrust. A lot has changed since then, even the Obama girl. President Hussein now deals with a middle east in flames, a private sector which is "doing just fine", and high gas prices. Of course, there are still those who drink the kool-aid very happily. And why not, Obama in their eyes is the coolest president ever.

Obamamania has certainly died. But so will any movement that glorifies any politician as though he was deity. Psalm 146:3 tells us not to do exactly what the Obama-freaks did. There is no salvation in the hands of Obama, Mitt, or any other politician who speaks well with a teleprompter.

  1. Great post. Yes, i am glad all the mania is over with. I never understood what the big deal was, besides him being black (half black). To me, no matter the color, what mattered was how well he would be in office, and he definitely proved to not be very efficient.
